Your gift today helps remove barriers and create spaces where everyone belongs.
Until she was twelve, Marika van Dommelen walked with leg braces and crutches. When the strain became too great, she began using a wheelchair. Today, she brings those lived experiences of navigating her community to her work at the Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF), helping to improve accessibility, raises awareness, empower youth, and supports life-changing spinal cord injury research.
When you give today, you help ensure dignity, independence, and belonging for people of all abilities.
This year marks 40 years since the Man In Motion World Tour, when Rick Hansen set out to show the world what’s possible and to remove the barriers that hold people back. Your generosity carries that legacy forward, keeping the movement alive for the next generation.
And right now, your impact goes even further:
Every dollar you donate to RHF by December 31 will be matched up to $50,000, by RHF longtime friend Greg Yuel.
Together, we will create a Canada where everyone can go everywhere.
